EMERGENCY SERVICES

• Local mental health care has some cultural/language barriers

• Restricted reporting-100% confidential w/ SAPR, Medical, Chaplain & Volunteer Victims Advocate (VVA)
• Unrestricted reporting-goes to chain of command and investigation begins
• Referrals to support through other resources (victim must elect to receive support/care)

• For restricted reporting victim must elect to receive support/care
• Duty to warn for imminent harm to self or others (suicide, domestic violence, childabuse/neglect)

• 12 sessions per person/per issue (no documentation)
• Can counsel military and their dependents (work with children must be with open door or window indoor)
• Can counsel in alternate public location
Constraints
• Duty to warn for imminent harm to self or others (suicide, domestic violence, childabuse/neglect)
• Cannot counsel those under care of other therapist or mental health provider orcivilians
• Cannot counsel in the individual's home
