The Language Enabled Airman Program (LEAP) allows Airmen to enhance their foreign language capabilities, which increase communication effectiveness with foreign nationals while in host nations and strengthen overall international partnerships. Major Jacob Jensen, 65th Logistics Readiness Squadron commander is a LEAP scholar and brings this enhanced skill set to Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal. He is better able to connect with his local national workforce, host nation, Portuguese Air Force (PoAF) counterparts and the local community. While the 65th Air Base Group provides power projection platforms to support global operations and international partnerships we also take this unique opportunity to develop culturally sensitive airmen. #65inthefight
